My name is Juan Vaamonde and I am a graphic & web designer
residing in Sydney, Australia. Welcome to my online home. Here you
can find information about my latest projects.
I have just graduated from a four year bachelor's degree in visual communication
at the University of Western Sydney.
My strengths are in branding & logo design, print and publication design & designing
the front end of web sites. I am a student
member of AGDA, the Australian
Graphic Design Association.
DESIGN APPROACH

I have a solid grounding in graphic and web design theory, but I am always
on the lookout for great books and websites to extend my knowledge.
I use my MacBook in the field and at home for my design work,
but my most precious creative tools are my sketchbook, pencil and
my imagination

DESIGN EXPERIENCE

Cadre E-Learning / Pyrmont, Sydney
I worked at this great agency for most of February this year during my Summer holidays
to complete my mandatory 90 hours of work placement required for my degree.
They were my first professional agency experience and I learned a lot from working with them,
from multi-tasking to working with custom-built software to working with Flash in ways I never had
before. A great bunch of people and wonderful place to work.

—Today I'm posting this lovely video, an absolute visual treat instead of one of my usual rants. I thought you all could use a break. And the people at Canon have put together this amazing project where they choreograph the movements of paint by pulsing sound through it after placing it on a membrane on top of a speaker. Part of a marvellous marketing campaign.
